When I first went to the store, my experience was welcoming. When I went back yesterday though, the experience was different. There was a class starting up, which I think is awesome. I came specifically for dirt, to inquire and get LECA. The class didn’t have an instructor, every worker was behind the register helping ppl repot plants. Riddle me this, how many people does it take to repot a plant? While 4 people helped one lady with her plants the last worker behind the register was visibly overwhelmed. She didn’t great me, she was short with her answered and unwelcoming as hell. I cried in the car, I’ve never felt energy like this-AROUND SOME PLANTS! I’ll never go back here.

Abby and her team brought a succulent terrarium workshop to an event that we had at our office, and they knocked it out of the park. The Women in NARI of the Charlotte, NC chapter of NARI had a great night creating their own terrariums, the PlantHouse team was incredibly helpful and informative and they made it a truly wonderful night. If you've never done one of their workshops, I highly recommend it. It's so much fun.

Went for a cacti terrarium building class and also bought some plants after receiving a discount following the class. The class was too overcrowded and we were all shoulder to shoulder trying to pot cacti and shovel in dirt to these small globes. The terrarium vessels were way too small for the plants you were supposed to get in there. 2 cacti barely fit comfortably but they give you 3 and I had to remove one when I got home because they were all pushed into one another. That wasn’t my big issue though. I bought a $30 large cuddly cacti and only after a week and a half, it has completely succumb to fungal rot. I had not repotted it or watered, only placed it where all my other cacti live. This doesn’t just happen over night. I sent an email and even tried calling the store as I didn’t want this to spread to other inventory. No response. Won’t be getting my business again…

It was amazing! We had Mahogany host the event and she did a fabulous job. I was trying to take a Timelapse with my phone and she brought out their tripod for me to use. She helped everyone pick out things and gave great instruction as well as the women working with her. It was an amazing time and I cannot wait to come back.
